DESNZ 2025 'Gas oil' — the UK term for off-road diesel, dyed red for duty purposes and used in agriculture, construction and static plant. Chemically close to road diesel but NOT the same numbers: 853.971 kg/m³ and 2.75541 kgCO2e/L against road diesel's 832.361 kg/m³ and 2.57082 kgCO2e/L, about 7% more CO2e per litre. Note DESNZ publishes no kWh-per-litre calorific value for this fuel, so per-litre energy is derived from mass via the density above and labeled accordingly.
