DESNZ 2025 'CNG' — natural gas compressed for vehicle fuel and storage. Chemically the same gas as the 'natural gas' entry, but 175 kg/m³ against 0.802 kg/m³, so a volume of CNG holds 218x the energy of the same volume of pipeline gas. DESNZ publishes no CO2-only component for this row, so only the CO2e total is carried — CO2 and CO2e are never derived from one another.

  • DESNZ does not state the pressure or temperature its CNG density of 175 kg/m³ refers to. Compressed-gas density depends strongly on both, so treat a volume-based CNG answer as indicative of the DESNZ basis, not of your own tank.
